(Proprietor of Cobalt Coast Dive Resort, also referred to as the owner, operator and handyman extraordinaire) is never happier than when welcoming guests to share his Caribbean island dream retreat. His goal is for each and every guest to remember their stay at Cobalt Coast as a special experience.
Drawn to Grand Cayman by the tropical breezes, warm and clear waters mixed with the laid back lifestyle of the Caribbean, Arie retired here in 1994 after a 30-year career in the tourism and travel industry. A career that started on-board a Holland America cruise liner in 1963 and culminated in managing a major hotel in the city that never rests, Las Vegas – after all that he deserved a well earned break and where better than the beautiful Cayman Islands.
Arie did not stay retired long though. His conscience insisted he put his years of experience and creativity to work, so he bought land overlooking the ocean in the most peaceful part of West Bay, where the parrot fish can be seen grazing off the coral, and the sea fans wave gently in the water just a few yards offshore. It was heaven on earth, and the ideal place to build a small resort with its one of a kind uninterrupted view over a perfect sea. He named it Cobalt Coast Dive Resort. He certainly is a purveyor of great memories!
